Rooted in Care for What Makes Us Human

My journey into ministry has been unconventional; it has taken me across the world, learning about different mystical traditions, living in spiritual communities and training in highly intense, non-traditional chaplaincy settings. This insane and beautiful journey has shown me that the most spiritual thing we can do is embody, listen to, love, care for, and honor our humanness. I believe it is a spiritual thing to be human; a sacred, profound experience that we get to have. I believe that this is a right that belongs to everyone, no matter who you are, how you present, or your resources in the world. And I believe all human expressions of spirituality are real, beautiful, and worthy of discovery.

March 24th, 2024 - Rev. Charlotte Cramer Join Rev. Charlotte Cramer as she reflects on her experiences as a street minister in Marin, the transformative power of connecting with our unhoused neighbors (and how it changed her life), and her new project helping communities create spaces of belonging for all people. Rev. Charlotte is an ordained Interfaith Minister and Chaplain with her Master of Divinity from Starr King School for the Ministry, a Certificate in Chaplaincy from The Chaplaincy Institute, and four units of Clinical Pastoral Education from The Shaw Chaplaincy Institute. She works as a street minister with The Street Chaplaincy in San Rafael, Marin County, CA, providing spiritual care for the many unhoused folks currently living in the city.
